Employment Visa Application

Residence Visa Application (Employment Visa)

Residence visas are issued to individuals who wish to work in Dubai. Foreign nationals will need a residence visa as well as a work permit to live and work in the UAE.

In Dubai, the employer is responsible for obtaining the necessary visas and permits for foreign workers. The employer is also required to shoulder the cost of any visa fees.

Residence Visa Application Process

The process is as follows:

  1. The employer should apply for approval from the Ministry of Labor to hire a foreign employee.
  2. The Ministry will issue an entry permit visa, after which the employee will enter the UAE and stay for an initial period of 30 days.
  3. The employee will travel to Dubai. Once they arrive, they have 60 days to obtain a residence visa.
  4. Upon the employee’s arrival in Dubai, the employer should apply for a work permit (labor card).
  5. The employee should then visit an Emirates ID service center with their valid passport and entry visa to obtain the Emirates ID.
  6. The employee should then go to a government hospital for a medical examination.
  7. The employee should then apply for a residence visa through the immigration authorities or using our convenient visa application services.
  8. Once all the documents are submitted to us, we will apply for and process the residence visa.

Our mission is to simplify the process for business owners, for smooth, hassle-free visa processing.

The Dubai residence visa allows those coming to Dubai to work and settle into permanent employment in the United Arab Emirates. The resident obtains the work permit, residence visa and identity card upon issuance of their visa, as the Emirates ID becomes the official identification card instead of the passport.

Residents of the United Arab Emirates who have a permanent residence visa must make at least one entry every six months to maintain the validity of the residence visa, otherwise the employment will be automatically canceled when six months have passed since the last date of the resident’s presence in the country.
